This is a place for children and the adults who sit with them to look at how living beings orient in a world full of information. Stars. The Sun. A faint magnetic field. Smell. Memory. Water. Sound. Attention.

It is not a quiz. It is not a contest. It is an instrument for looking, not a lesson to finish. It is meant to send you back outside, toward a bird, a shoreline, a night sky, a question.

Six stories is enough for one sitting. More creatures use these ways than we have stories for. The rest happens outside.

Some things here are well established. Some are still being figured out. The gap is part of the wonder.
